Jadzia Dax is role that made Terry a skintergalactic sex symbol, but the midwesterner from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, had a rapid introduction into the world of show. At the age of seventeen, leggy Terry high-stepped into a high-flying career as a high-fashion model. Three years later, producers of the teen-couture TV hit Paper Dolls offered a part to Terry. Naturally, that role didn’t prove much of a stretch for Terry as she was already a veteran catwalker who knew how to pose and preen for the camera in a way that gets all comers cooing, “Just take my money, supermodel!” On the big screen, Terry achieved comedic immortality in the classic Rodney Dangerfield campus romp, Back to School (1986).
